摘要：
PURPOSE: To reaction of 2-mercaptothiazoline with 2-halogenoethylamine hydrohalide is effected in the presence of water to produce the titled compound with advantage, which is used as an intermediate of medicines and cosmetics such as hair conditioner.
CONSTITUTION: A 2-mercaptothiazoline of formula I (R

4 are H, lower alkyl, phenyl) such as 2-mercaptothiazoline or 4-phenyl-2-mercaptothiazoline is made to react with 2-halogenoethylamine hydrohalide of formula II such as 2-halogenoethylamine or 1-phenyl-2-halogenoethylamine in such an amount of water as more than 20 times the molar quantity of the compound of formula II at a temperature higher than 20°C to produce the objective compound of high purity of formula III economically in high yield.
USE: The product has an activity of protecting from radioactive rays as well as the above activity.
