PURPOSE: A food waste measuring device is provided to detect the height of food waste with an ultrasonic sensor and to automatically determine which collecting parts can receive the food wastes according to the height thereof, thereby preventing the overflow of the food waste. CONSTITUTION: A food waste measuring device comprises a housing, an input part(200), a measuring part(300), and a control part. A door is installed in the front one side of the housing to draw in and out a collecting part(500). The inner wall of the housing is coated with metal to protect circuits of the food waste measuring device. An anti-contamination cover is installed in the housing to prevent the infiltration of harmful gas due to the decomposition of food waste. The food waste is inputted into the collecting part through the input part. The measuring part measures the height and weight of the food waste inputted through the input part. The control part controls the input part, calculates fee applied to the food waste based on the height and weight of the food waste detected by the measuring part, and displays the height, weight, and fee of the food waste.
