Abstract:
A method is for controlling the idle speed of internal combustion engines by means of a feed-back control of the intake air flow rate by using a reference value of the intake air flow rate in the idling mode as control target value. The reference value is set in accordance with the deviation between the actual idle speed reference value being a function of the engine temperature and the actual engine speed in the idling mode when the diviation between the actual idle speed reference value and the actual engine speed is more than a predetermined value.
