PURPOSE: An apparatus for adjusting the height of a handle for a bag is provided to secure various users by easily adjusting the height of the handle regardless of the height of user. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for adjusting the height of a handle is used in a bag such as a bowling bag and a traveling bag. The height of the handle is adjusted by moving and stopping an inner pipe movable installed in an outer pipe(4) located on the upper end of the handle. A catch release member(5) of the apparatus is movably installed in the handle. A first elastic member(6) is displaced between the catch release member and the handle to provide elastic force to the catch release member. A power transmission wire(7) displaced in the inner pipe is connected to both ends of the catch release member at the upper end thereof, and is longitudinally moved by the catch release member. A fixing member(8) having a fixing part(8a) for fixing a protrusion(10) is connected to the lower end of the power transmission wire. A support body(9) containing the fixing part is inserted in the lower end of the inner pipe. The protrusion movably installed in a guide hole(9a) of the support body is formed with at least one inclined boss(10a) on the tip end thereof, and is protruded through a hole formed on the lower end of the inner pipe by using a second elastic member(11). A concavo-convex strip member(12) longitudinally installed in the side of the outer pipe contacts with the inclined boss of the protrusion.
