The present invention relates to a method for mass production of a flexible portable electronic device (14) which is capable of processing at least information. The method includes: a step of passing a first translucent plastic strip (4) through an overmolding station (16) which overmolds the first translucent plastic strip (4) using a plastic material; a step of passing a second translucent plastic strip (34), of which bottom surface faces up, through a print station (40) in which the second translucent plastic strip (34) receives at least one decorative ink on the bottom surface (36) thereof and an assembly station (48) in which the second translucent plastic strip (34) receives electronic assemblies (8) to process information in various locations on the bottom surface thereof; and a step of cutting and releasing the portable electronic device (14) after bonding and welding the overmolded first translucent plastic strip to the decorated second translucent plastic strip.
