The controller (26) is designed to actuate the positive-displacement drive (6) in such a way, at least for specific setpoint conveyed flows to be generated by the metering pump, that a stroke of the positive-displacement body (14) begins with a first, elevated stroke rate (n1), and is subsequently continued at a second, lower stroke rate (n2). A method for controlling such a metering pump aggregate is also provided.
