It includes a hazard alarm control unit having a housing, a first electronic assembly and a second electronic assembly which is formed on an outside as an operating and display front panel without a display and has switching elements and luminous indicators and is formed on an inside as an commissioning and configuration unit which comprises configuration parameter selector and a first optical display. The second electronic assembly is connected to the first electronic assembly in a signal-conducting manner and set up such that the set configuration parameters of the configuration parameter selector are accepted by the first electronic assembly for holding and processing in at least one configuration module. The invention also relates to a method for commissioning and configuring an automatic fire extinguishing system.
