The electronic device includes a processor configured to execute an application, and a display configured to display a first window corresponding to the application, wherein, in response to a specified event, the processor is further configured to adjust a transparency of the first window and to output, to a lower layer than a layer of the first window, a second window overlapping at least a part of an area of the first window.
