The color filter substrate includes a base substrate; a photonic crystal layer located on the base substrate; a plurality of light emitting medium layers corresponding to pixels of different colors located on the photonic crystal layer, wherein the light emitting medium layer is capable of emitting light of corresponding color under excitation of light from a backlight source; a transflective layer located on the light emitting medium layers; wherein the photonic crystal layer is used to reflect the light emitted from the light emitting medium layers to the transflective layer, so that the light is oscillated and interferes between the photonic crystal layer and the transflective layer and finally exits from the transflective layer.
