The electronic device includes a display, a memory, and a processor configured to execute a first operating system, a second operating system and an application run on the second operating system. The processor displays an execution screen of the application on the display, compares, in response to an event that occurs on the first operating system, a priority of an event with a priority of the application, and maintains the execution screen of the application running on the second operating system if the priority of the application is higher than the priority of the event.
