The image capturing apparatus includes: an imaging device configured to obtain, based on a previously set exposure condition, an imaging signal that corresponds to at least one frame; a flicker information determining circuitry configured to determine flicker information of a light source using the imaging signal that corresponds to the at least one frame; and a controller configured to control, based on the flicker information of the light source, an exposure start time of the imaging device in order to take into account flicker occurrence due to the light source.
