The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a solid electrolyte material to be used for a fluoride ion battery, the solid electrolyte material comprising: a solid electrolyte particle including a crystal phase, that has a Tysonite structure and contains an F element, as a main phase; and CsF; and the CsF content in the solid electrolyte material is 50% by weight or less.
