The method comprises: sending a first message to a first equipment, wherein the first message is used for requesting user data of a user equipment; receiving a second message sent by the first equipment according to the first message, wherein the second message carries the user data of the user equipment and a network access failure transmission indication; and when determining a network access failure of the user equipment, sending a network access failure cause value of the user equipment to a storing user subscribed information entity or a failure cause processing entity according to the network access failure transmission indication. The information processing method and apparatus provided by the embodiments of the present disclosure may be used for achieving a failure diagnosis of the user equipment.
