First, second, third, and fourth terminal electrodes are provided in the first flange, and fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth terminal electrodes are provided in the second flange. First, second, third, and fourth wires each have one end connected to a different one of the first to fourth terminal electrodes and the other end connected to a different one of the fifth to eighth terminal electrodes. A length of the drum core in the first direction and the second direction, perpendicular to the first direction, are substantially equal to one another, such that a planar shape of a mounting region of the pulse transformer is substantially square.
