The method includes receiving a higher layer parameter for a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH), in response to the higher layer parameter including a cell identity (ID) indicating a serving cell, identifying an active downlink (DL) bandwidth part (BWP) of the serving cell, and receiving a reference signal (RS) on the active DL BWP of the serving cell.
