The printing mechanism includes a print head configured to perform printing on a recording sheet and a platen roller configured to convey the recording sheet. The gear box is configured to transmit the rotation of the motor to the platen roller. The printing mechanism, the gear box, and the motor are arranged in order from a first side of the printing apparatus toward a second side of the printing apparatus in a longitudinal direction of the printing apparatus.
