The method includes a router receiving a target file for uploading to a target server which is transmitted from a terminal; determining a feature value of the target file; obtaining a list of feature values of files for the target server, in which the feature value of each file stored in the target server is recorded; transmitting the target file to the target server, when the feature value of the target file is not in the list of feature values of files; and transmitting the feature value of the target file to the target server, when the feature value of the target file is in the list of feature values of files.
