The electronic device includes a display, a memory configured to store instructions, and a processor, wherein the processor is configured to execute the stored instructions to display an image and a user interface (UI) representing depth information of the image through the display in response to a first user input for editing the image, receive a second user input for selecting an object to be added in the image, display at least a part of the object in the image based on a depth value of the object and depth information of a first region in which the object is located in the image, and display an indicator representing the depth value of the object in the UI.
