For example, a method for wireless communication by a base station includes providing power control parameters, to at least one user equipment (UE), for use in performing uplink transmit power control for one or more uplink transmissions sent using one or more uplink transmit beams, signaling the UE to set or reset one or more of the power control parameters, and transmitting one or more reference signals (RSs) using one or more downlink transmit beams, for the UE to measure for use in the uplink transmit power control.
