The display apparatus includes a display, a communicator that communicate with a server, a sensor that obtains information about a companion animal and a processor that controls the display to display content based on a first image quality value, transmits the information about the companion animal to the server, receives, from the server, a second image quality value based on the information about the companion animal, and controls the display to display the content based on the received second image quality value. The information is obtained by the sensor while the content is displayed based on the first image quality value.
