The sound absorber has a contact side, by which it adheres to a previously applied, self-sealing sealant. The sealant has a tackiness required for the adhesive attachment of the sound absorber. The contact side of the sound absorber has a contact area on the sealant of between 5% and 50% with respect to the total area of the contact side.
