The communication method includes: receiving, by a base station, uplink data sent by a terminal device; decoding the uplink data; and sending, by the base station, feedback information of the uplink data. The feedback information is used to indicate a decoding status of the uplink data, and carries information about an identifier. The identifier includes an identity of the terminal device or an identifier of the uplink data. In this way, the terminal device is prevented from receiving incorrect feedback information during conflicting transmission.
