The cover part is located outside a first side plate of a reel body of the dual-bearing reel in an axial direction. The bulging part bulges outward from the cover part in the axial direction. The first boss part has a shape protruding outward from the bulging part in the axial direction, and causes a spool shaft to be inserted therethrough. The casting control mechanism includes an operating member that is attached to the first boss part so as to be movable in the axial direction and protrudes at part of an outer periphery thereof from the bulging part as seen in the axial direction.
