The UE receive a configuration from a base station, the configuration indicating one or more constraints for constructing and transmitting a multiple-access signature. The UE then constructs the multiple-access signature in accordance with the one or more constraints. The UE autonomously transmits the multiple-access signature to the base station in accordance with the one or more constraints.
