A device, method, and graphical user interface for displaying a plurality of settings controls are disclosed. An example method includes: at a multifunction device with a touch-sensitive display: while displaying a home screen user interface, detecting a gesture on the touch-sensitive display; and in response to detecting the gesture on the touch-sensitive display: in accordance with a determination that the gesture is a first swipe gesture in a first direction, displaying a plurality of application images that corresponds to at least some of a plurality of recently used applications; and in accordance with a determination that the gesture is a second swipe gesture in a second direction distinct from the first direction, displaying a settings user interface that includes one or more media player controls for adjusting media playback at the multifunction device.
