The first circuitry may be operable to encode a Non-scheduled Physical Uplink Control Channel (N-PUCCH) in an Uplink (UL) burst transmission, and to encode a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH) in the UL burst transmission. The second circuitry may be operable to initiate the UL burst transmission subject to a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) protocol on a channel of the wireless network. The UL burst transmission may be initiated without a UL grant received from the eNB.
