In some aspects, the apparatus may transmit a request for an updated FEC rate, the updated FEC rate being based on a previous FEC rate. The apparatus may also receive, based on the request for the updated FEC rate, information associated with the updated FEC rate. Additionally, the apparatus may determine the updated FEC rate based on the received information, the received information being associated with a difference between the previous FEC rate and the updated FEC rate.
