An apparatus comprising means configured to:
determine, based on data representative of a current health state of a first user of a first exercise apparatus, settings for one or more exercise variables of the first exercise apparatus, wherein the settings are tailored to the first user's current health state; and
provide the determined settings for configuration of the first exercise apparatus.
