The overvoltage protection circuit includes a first and a second terminal and a normally-on transistor. The normally-on transistor is electrically coupled to the first and second terminal. The overvoltage protection circuit further includes a control circuit configured to switch off the normally-on transistor as a function of at least one of a voltage at the first terminal and a voltage at the second terminal. Further examples relate to a device including an interface and an overvoltage protection circuit. The first terminal of the overvoltage protection circuit is electrically coupled to the interface.
