An example method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) generally includes identifying a region in which the UE is located, selecting at least one of a mode or one or more parameters for RF exposure compliance based on the identified region, and transmitting a signal at a transmission power level based at least in part on the at least one of the selected mode or the selected one or more parameters.
