The method includes: obtaining a reference position from an image displayed by a head-up display HUD system, where the reference position is related to a focal position, on the image displayed by the HUD system, of an eye of a user; obtaining a brightness weakening coefficient of each pixel based on a distance between each pixel in the image and the reference position; adjusting display brightness of each pixel in the image based on the brightness weakening coefficient of each pixel; and displaying an adjusted image based on the display brightness of each pixel in the adjusted image.
