The process includes, based on the states, generating data to display, in a text mode on a display device, a plurality of text character status indicators. First text character status indicators are arranged in a first grid that correspond to a physical layout of first nodes in a first computer system rack, and each first text character status indicator represents a status of a corresponding first node.
