One method includes: transmit, during a first time period, a transport block (TB) to a terminal device, in response to determining that the one or more first CBGs are correctly decoded and the one or more second CBGs are incorrectly decoded, retransmit, during a second time period after the first time period, the one or more second CBGs that are incorrectly decoded, and receive, during a third time period after the second time period, feedback information, wherein the feedback information comprises one or more first decoding statuses respectively corresponding to the one or more first CBGs that are transmitted during the first time period and one or more second decoding statuses respectively corresponding to the one or more second CBGs that are retransmitted during the second time period.
