The processor may be configured to obtain sensing data from the sensor module, analyze the movement pattern of a user on the basis of the obtained sensing data, estimate movement characteristic information on the basis of the analysis result of the movement pattern, identify the operation mode of the electronic device on the basis of the movement characteristic information, and analyze activity information about the user on the basis of the identified operation mode so as to display same using the display. A method thereof is also disclosed and various other embodiments are also possible.
