The display device comprises a display panel including a first display area and a second display area in which a plurality of transmissive areas are disposed, a roller portion coupled to the display panel at one side of the display panel, moving the display panel, an optical sensor disposed to overlap the second display area of the display panel, and a driving controller controlling the roller portion to rotate forward or backward based on an operation of the optical sensor.
