A method may include receiving, with a first user equipment from a network node, an allocation of one or more physical sidelink control channel resources, wherein the first user equipment is configured to perform sidelink discontinuous reception. The method may also include performing autonomous selection of one or more resources of a physical sidelink shared channel from a resource pool. The method may further include performing sidelink communication with at least one of a resource of the one or more allocated physical sidelink control channel resources, or a resource of the one or more selected resources of the physical sidelink shared channel.
