A hub body including two lateral flanges having buttonhole-shaped borings provided for hooking the spokes with a large cross-section portion and a small cross-section portion. Each of the flanges includes an approximately axial barrel extended by a disk, and that the large cross-section portion is located in the area of the disk, and the small cross-section portion is located in the area of the barrel. The small cross-section portion is located at the base of the large cross-section portion, with reference to the direction in which the spoke exerts a traction on the flange when it is mounted and tensioned.
