An apparatus is disclosed for automatically casting separately molded bowl and rim members and then connecting them together while both are in an upside down position. During the connection of the rim to the bowl, the bowl is preferably supported on two opposing sides by the mold. These procedures reduce deformation of the cast bowl while it is still in a nullgreenwarenull condition.
