In operation, the magnetic field of the deflection system of the cathode ray tube induces unwanted crosstalk on said index electrodes (20, 21). By cross-connecting one end (30a) of a conducting element (31) of an index electrode (20) to the opposite side end (40a) of another conducting element (41) of said index electrode (20), said crosstalk on said index electrode (20) is reduced.
