The invention provides a formed heterogeneous catalyst composition comprising a particulate MII(MIII)O (wherein MII and MIII are divalent and trivalent metals respectively) catalyst support and a particulate binder wherein the surface area per unit weight of the support is greater than that of said binder and wherein the compressability of said binder is less than that of said support.
