A method for producing a model of an interior configuration of one or more three-dimensional objects within a three-dimensional interior space, including accepting interior space data representing at least a portion of the three-dimensional interior space; providing the interior space data to one or more rapid prototyping apparatuses to create an interior space item including a cavity, the cavity at least partially constituting a model of the three-dimensional interior space; accepting object data representing at least the one or more three-dimensional objects; and providing the object data to the one or more rapid prototyping apparatuses to create one or more object items, the one or more object items at least partially constituting models of the one or more three-dimensional objects.
