An image processor, including: memory; a plurality of processing modules; and a general purpose processor; the image processor being configurable into: a first mode, in which at least some of the modules form a processing pipeline for processing image data; a second mode, in which the general purpose processor processes data output by, or supplies processed data to, at least one of the processing modules in the pipeline.
