Abstract:
A system for collecting gaseous ions from a mixture of molecules includes an ionizer, a separator, and a surface that is positioned in cooperative relationship with the separator. The ionizer converts at least a portion of the molecules into gas phase ions and the separator separates the ions. The ions land in a layer of liquid phase material on the surface.
