The handset includes a handset body having a number of keys and a short-distance communication means; a handset folder having a display device; and a hinge device for rotatably connecting the handset body and the handset folder to each other. Dialing can be performed using the keys and bidirectional communication with a desired partner can be performed by transmitting and receiving signals between the body of a portable apparatus and the handset body using the short-distance communication means.
