The housing is formed such that the stator is fitted thereto. The housing has a plurality of thick portions and a plurality of thin portions. The center of the thickness of each thick portion is located outside of the center of the thickness of each thin portion with respect to a radial direction of the housing. As a result, even if the housing is deformed, the fixation of the stator to the housing is reliably maintained. Further, the weight of the electric compressor is reduced.
