Disclosed is an image display apparatus for displaying a plurality of images in the form of an array on a display screen. The apparatus decides display positions of a plurality of items of image data and presents an image display that is based upon image data at each of the display positions decided. If a plurality of items of moving image data have been placed in a divided area, the plurality of items of moving image data are reproduced one after another in the divided area.
