An optical film, which comprises: a transparent support; and a light-diffusing layer containing: at least one kind of resin particles having a particle size of from 5 μm to 20 μm; and a binder matrix, wherein the resin particles have a compressive strength of from 2 to 10 kgf/mm2; an anti-reflection film; a polarizing plate; and an image display device using the optical film.
