A herbicidal composition that, in addition to comprising customary inert formulation adjuvants, comprises either a) a compound of formula I wherein R is C1-C2alkyl or chlorine, R1 is hydrogen or C1-C4alkyl and R2 is C1-C4alkyl, or an agronomically acceptable salt of such a compound, and b) a synergistically effective amount of one or more compounds of formulae 2.1 to 2.51 and also an amount, effective for herbicide antagonism, of a safener, or a) a compound of formula I and b) an amount, effective for herbicide antagonism, of a safener.
