The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the active device. The insulating layer is disposed over the scan line, the data line, and the pixel electrode. The transition electrode is disposed on the insulating layer, and a transverse electric field is produced between the transition electrode and the pixel electrode.
