Abstract:
An electrode for a discharge lamp includes an elongate shank (11a) and a top (11b) that is arranged on one end of the shank (11a). The shaft (11a) is flattened to such an extent that its dimensions at an angle to is longitudinal extension are not larger than the corresponding transversal dimensions of the top (11b).
